Girlcrew Collective
Artist and Creative Lead
International all female-identifying filmmaking collective.
Elizabeth, Juul, Tish and Steffie met while attending the documentary film grad program at The New School in New York City. While crewing for each other’s thesis films they realized how much working as a collective strengthened not only their films, but their identities as female filmmakers.
After becoming immersed in the New York documentary scene they recognized the power of the female artist community. Following this lead, #girlcrew collective was formed as a celebration of women in the arts. It is a platform on which we are able to share our passions for female empowerment, social justice and have the freedom to get weird and explore other art forms. We are currently internationally-based, on both coasts of the US and in Amsterdam.
